Morning! Back now, obviously. Had the most amazing 3 days...aah, just brilliant. Off the top of my head, highlights include:
- Meeting Lina and some of my other friends. Lina is awesome. And note how I put this first ahead of all the Andy stuff! :p Was lovely meeting you though, sorry i had to rush off in the end...!!
- BEING ON CENTRE COURT FOR THE LAST TWO SETS OF ANDY-GASQUET!!!! That was quite possibly one of the best experiences of my life...what a comeback, what a match, what an atmosphere. Awww Andy, yay ♥
- Getting centre court tickets for yesterday on Ticketmaster!! Huge thanks to
sunnycouger for telling me about the ticketmaster thing...i nearly fainted in shock when we got them! Was awesome seeing players like Fed, Ancic, Nadal and erm, Andy, obviously. Just a shame about the score...;) But i wouldn't have missed it for the world! :)
- Getting free centre court tickets for Tuesday ;)
- Getting a random hug from Judy Murray and chatting to her for a bit. Lovely woman, can't speak highly enough of her - everytime we see her, she's amazing. Andy and Jamie are very, very lucky.
- Talking to Andy and Jamie's Uncle...he stood and talked to us for nearly half an hour on various things, ranging from Jamie's new haircut to the media portrayal of Andy. It was really fascinating hearing what a member of the family thought about it all. He's a lovely, lovely guy (the uncle...though i'm sure Andy is too! :p) - he apparently remembered us from last year's finals day when Judy introduced us.
- Andy signing my Scotland flag. And Fed too I guess. Though Andy is cooler. It was supposed to be a flag signed by the two Wimbledon finalists but, erm, that kind of didn't work out! Maybe next year ;) And Andy signed my copy of his autobiography too, so it's all good!
- Erm...I'm sure there's loads more but i'm falling asleep...haven't slept in about a week and the train journey home last night was hellish. I'm going to have a quick look through my photos (I feel I may have gone slightly overboard yesterday what with seeing Andy practising and then being on centre court all day (in between the rain) so you're all warned in advance! ;)). And then I'm going to sleep. So, so tired! I'll no doubt do a looooong rambly post about Wimbledon soon with more explanation but just wanted to say hi, and i had the best time ever! :D
